VILLAIN OF THE MONTH
of past months

Black Horse

How could the first villain of the month not be Black Horse? Clearly one of my favorites of all time, BH is so lame looking, it hurts. When he runs around, a galloping noise is made, and his head flops all over the place. The big horseshoe that he has is some kind of device that when he hits the two ends together, a flame ignites. Good old Black Horse would usually do this with someone's head inside the horseshoe. Sadly, he met his demise in episode six, the only one he appears in besides the one where all the villains are brought back from the dead. But that's another review entirely...
BLACK HORSE, I SALUTE YOU!!!

Blue Kong

What can I really say about this guy? Nothing, I suppose, words can not describe the sheer audacity of Blue Kong. There is a couple of scenes where he is inside of a couple of boxes in pieces, then he mysteriously pieces himself together only to terrorize helpless victims. I really can't describe the scene, it's so amazing, you have to see it to believe it.

Gold Wolf

Maybe the saddest villain of all, this menace was normal man by day, but blood thirsty werewolf monster by night! Well, at least by the full moon, which seems to happen every night in the episode this Gold Wolf is in. The sad and tragic part is that his daytime counterpart is an unwilling participant in the carnage. Jiro knows this and does not want to destroy him when he is in monster form, but of course this villain ends up taking the road all should walk, the kind where you blow up in the end. Wait... just as the episode ends, could it be? Yes, Kikaider sheds a tear. PART MAN, PART MACHINE, ALL HEART. You can quote me on that one.
